Meet Stacy Andrews
Stacy started with private art lessons in the small part of Northwest Ohio, just before graduating high school. In those lessons, she learned of Ateliers and began her search into finding the fitting Atelier to continue her practice. Before settling in an Atelier to begin, Stacy won a scholarship to attend one of the Portrait Society of America’s Art Conferences in PA in 2012, and the following year in Atlanta, GA. There, she met astounding and internationally known artists, gathering knowledge they had shared there. Soon after, Stacy took a workshop from known artist, Robert Liberace, gaining interest in red chalk. In 2014, Stacy moved to Minneapolis, MN after discovering Atelier Lack Studio Program of Fine Arts, and went on to study there full time. Furthering her skills and craft at the Atelier, Stacy then went on to graduate and teach for four years at Atelier Lack. During this time in MN, she also pursued workshops to hone certain skills, such as pencil technique, sculpting, red chalk, and various drawing methods. After four years, she moved back to Ohio and is currently taking commissions, pursuing her own artwork in various ways, and instructing classes in NW Ohio. Stacy enjoys portraiture and figurative works as and landscapes as her favorites, but also enjoys painting still lifes.
