In depth study of value, handling the pencil, paper surfaces, pencil preparation, gradating, and sight size, comparative, and relative drawing methods, and much more. Whether a first time beginner or an advanced draftsman, there is certain to be something to pick up in this class and hone in your skills.

Basic-Advanced Oil Painting —

Oil painting 101 to lessoned students who wish to further their skills, this class covers basic color mixing, limited to full palette, handling the brush, basics on different brush hairs, when to use mediums and glazing, and more.

Color Study —

Basic understanding of limited palette and full palette with use of either for exercises. These exercises will comprise of one hour sessions painting color blocks to expand your vision of color to apply in your own paintings.

Learn how to animate and bring to life the story that is being told through doing copies of story illustrations. Will be using a variety of Graphite, Pen & Ink, Watercolor, and possibly Colored Pencil or other. Learn more descriptive language in lines and strokes, studying contrast and keys to story tell, and how to use notan and more. The colors, line movement, what key the work is in all play a part in the vison of the story.
