Materials:

Graphite pencils (H, F, HB)

Kneaded eraser

Rubber eraser

Painter’s tape

Masonite or similar board to hold paper onto

Pencil sharpener  OR  box cutter and sanding block

Watercolor paper 8x10” or 9x12” (smoother the better – hot press tends to be smoother)

Watercolor brushes, various sizes and shapes (rounds and flats or brights mainly)

Watercolor paints (Winsor & Newton is a nice brand, Sennelier, Daniel Smith to name a few)

Watercolor mixing palette (also to hold paints when mixing)

Quill pens (one or two)

Quill pen nibs (At least two tips sizes – small, but too tightly pointed as this will catch the cotton in the paper and clog the pen nib)

Black India ink

Paper towel roll (Viva works great at soaking up quickly and smoothly, but not necessary)
